Brief description

This project proposal is aimed at improving the safety, working conditions and social inclusion of fishermen, workers and employees through investment in the territory of a specialized port facility for fishing activities – a place for temporary shelter of fishing vessels (sheltered boat yard), Kraimorie, Burgas Municipality. The location of the site is the Black Sea water area of Kraimorie district, Burgas with a total capacity of 54 boats up to 12 m in length. The planned activities of the project include: the supply and installation of facilities and equipment for improving the safety and working conditions of fishermen, workers and employees; creating and equipping leisure and recreation areas and outdoor sports for workers; information and publicity activities. It is aimed at fishermen and employees engaged in fishing and small-scale coastal fishing activities in the area. The local CLLD Strategy indicates that on the territory of the FLAG Burgas-Kameno there is need to improve the existing boat piers infrastructure to assist fisheries in the area. The project aims to create conditions for safe storage of domicile vessels on the territory of the boat docks in Kraimorie; to improve the safety and working conditions of fishermen when fishing; improving the conditions for the development of non-commercial and small-scale coastal fishing. Its implementation will lead to better and safer working conditions for fishermen and will create preconditions for the development of small-scale coastal fishing in the territory of the FLAG Burgas – Kameno, thus contributing to the achievement of Specific objective 1.3 “Improvement of the existing and construction of new infrastructure ” of the CLLD Strategy.

Brief description

This project proposal is aimed at improving the safety, working conditions and social inclusion of fishermen, workers and employees by investing in the territory of a specialized port site for servicing fishing activities – a place for temporary shelter of fishing vessels ( covered boat shelter) in the water port west of the fishing port (formerly Copne scaffolding), Burgas Municipality, located in the aquaria of the Burgas Bay. The location of the site is in the UI 07079.10.1245 under the KK of Sofia. Burgas, with a capacity currently a total of 40 boats up to 12 m in length. The planned activities of the project include: construction of a repair workshop for fishing boats, delivery and installation of facilities and equipment to improve the safety and working conditions of fishermen, employees; information and publicity activities. It targets fishermen and employees engaged in activities related to artisanal and small-scale coastal fishing in the area. The VMP Strategy states that on the territory of FLAG Burgas-Kameno identifies the need to improve the existing infrastructure of the lods to support fisheries in the area.

The project aims to create conditions for the safe storage of the home vessels on the territory of the fishing port (formerly Copne scaffolding) and to improve the normal functioning of the fishing port, the safety and working conditions of fishermen when fishing. The realization of the project will ensure the sustainable development of the artisanal and small-scale coastal fishing on the territory of FLAG Burgas – Kameno, preserve the traditions of fishing activity on the territory of the municipality and preserve the livelihoods of fishermen and aquaculture producers in the region. Its implementation will contribute to the implementation of Specific Objective 1.3 “Improving the existing and building of new infrastructure” of the STRATEGY FOR CONSTRUCTION OF FLAG Burgas-Kameno.
